Tunisia to Partake in Csw65


Tunis/Tunisia — Tunisia will partake in works of the 65th Commission on the Status of Women Session (CSW65) to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), on March 15-26 in New York (USA).

The session will take place in a hybrid format under the theme: “Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life, as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls,” a Ministry of Women press release issued Saturday reads.

The Tunisian delegation who will participate by VTC, is led by Minister of Women, Family and Seniors Imen Zahouani Houimel.

The latter will also partake in an expert group meeting on Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life, as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.

On this occasion, the ministry will organise in coordination with the UN Women, an event on “the full and effective participation of women in the decision-making processes: Presentation of national and international experiences.”
