Nigeria: My Music Has a Message for Nigerians – Chyzzi

Nigeria’s Afrobeat rising star, Chyzzi, has said that he is preaching a message to Nigerians and the world through his music.

The twenty-six-year-old conscious music singer, whose real name is Harrison Chimzim Anokwuru, said that his romance with music began at a very young age; adding that he has always been very passionate about music. He disclosed that his musical journey started while singing in the choir.

The Afrobeat exponent stated that he had his primary and secondary education in Nigeria; did some schooling in Ghana before moving to North Cyprus to complete his tertiary education. Chyzzi averred that it was in North Cyprus that he had the opportunity to practice and make music for himself.

Commenting on his lyrics and music, he said, “My everyday experience and background play a huge role in my lyrics and this helps me pass a message with my music and most times it is directed towards young individuals.

Every environment I find myself plays a role to inspire me as I often use my day-to-day experience and vices in society as a message in my tunes.

The aim is to create sweet music with consciousness to inspire the youths, spread love and empower the listeners via motivational verses.”

The lyrical genius said he made his debut in 2017 with a chart topping, wave making, hit single entitled, “Paranoid” and featured his label mate on the track and went on to drop another smashing hit entitled “Bomb”. He added that in 2019, he dropped another track entitled “Approve” which featured popular Nigerian artiste “Ceeza Milli”.
