Tunis/Tunisia — Head of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) new office for North Africa Haoua Acyl presented Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisian Abroad Othman Jerandi with her credentials on Tuesday. The new office is headquartered in Tunis.
The latest preparations for the 18th Francophonie Summit, due next November 20-21 in Djerba, southern Tunisia, took centre stage.
Focus needs to be laid on economic, digital and youth employment related issues so that the French-speaking space can foster the sharing of skills, knowledge and know-how.
The OIF official praised Tunisian authorities for their support and voiced keenness to boost relations between Tunisia and the organisation and ensure the successful conduct of Djerba Summit which, she said, will help achieve a qualitative leap in cooperation between member states.
